I took a short break from the Pentatonix cross stitch I’ve been working on to knock out another stitch for charity The company I work for works closely with the local chapter of United Way. Every year there’s a big, two-week campaign in September to raise money. There’s a gift basket silent auction, a guess-the-number-of-candy-in-the-jar jar, and loads of other different activities. This year, there’s a craft silent auction. And of course I’m participating.
I made this cross stitch for myself earlier in the year and I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments on it since I hung it up in my cubicle. I designed the pattern myself and I’m very proud of it.
So, I decided to stitch another to donate to the craft auction. Except I’d make it a little more gender neutral (no flowers) and in the company colors.
I worked exclusively on this sucker and knocked it out in 3 days – including a weekend. I’m really proud of how this one turned out, too. Although… some chores didn’t get done over the weekend while I was working on this… But priorities, right?
